While I have found boxes in my parents’ attic containing creative works from my elementary school days, I didn’t start getting into art until I was about 25 when I took my first painting class in San Diego, California. I had been trying to find ways of tapping into the right-half of my brain to inspire some creative work as an engineer and decided to give painting a try. The first day we did acrylic – I sucked. The second day we did watercolor – and I did not enjoy it. The third day we did oils – and I had a ton of fun and I’ve been painting ever since.
